According to the Stockton CHP report, however, the incident occurred on Escalon-Bellota Road east of Mariposa Road just before 9:30 p.m.

A 25-year-old man from Fremont was driving a 2007 Acura southbound on Escalon-Bellota approaching the intersection with Mariposa at an undetermined high rate of speed, said the CHP.
