GEARING UP
Relay BBQ

A number of fundraisers are going on now as teams get ready for the May 20 and 21 Relay For Life of Escalon. Top photo, Texas Roadhouse workers, in cooperation with Relay committee members, served up the drive-thru barbecue dinner on Thursday night at El Portal. Side photo, high school team members Jimmy Wentzell, left, and Matthew Spurgeon had food to sell at the family Fun Night on Friday at Dent Elementary and, below, Escalon staff partner Dena Pimentel, left, gets hauled off to ‘jail’ at the Oakdale-Riverbank Relay on Saturday, part of a fundraiser for that event. The jail will be featured in Escalon as well, and all are encouraged to come support the teams and the event at Escalon High School.
