June 28 will be opening day for the four fireworks booths around Escalon, each benefitting a local organization.

Winners of the ‘lottery’ drawing for this year’s Fireworks Booths were the Escalon Ag/FFA Boosters, the Escalon Sports Boosters and Escalon Covenant Church. The City of Escalon reserves one booth as well, which is run by the Parks Foundation to help raise money for the Escalon skatepark. Booths can operate from noon on Wednesday, June 28 up until midnight on Tuesday, July 4. The booths sell the ‘Safe and Sane’ fireworks that are permitted for use in Escalon.

The Escalon Ag/FFA Boosters booth will be at Big Boy Market on Jackson Avenue; the Sports Boosters will be set up in the parking lot at MarVal Main Street Market on McHenry Avenue; the Escalon Covenant Church booth will be set up in the parking lot at their church, 1155 Escalon Ave.; and the Parks Foundation booth will be stationed in Paddack Village shopping center along Jackson Avenue, adjacent to Hula’s Restaurant.
