LuLaRoe Ashley and Mindy will be hosting a special fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3.p.m at the Escalon Youth Center.

A LuLaRoe Pop Up Boutique will be available for shopping for the day and you are invited to join in with local independent fashion consultants, Ashley Romo and Mindy Gregory, for the event. LuLaRoe offers stylish, beautiful, and simply comfortable clothing for women of all ages and sizes. There is truly something for every woman from size XXS-3XL. A variety of children’s clothing will also be available to shop sizes 2T-14. A percentage of all sales will go directly to the Davis family as well as a contribution from LuLaRoe corporation for each piece that is purchased.

“For anyone who knows Pastor Jim and Brenda Davis, you know that they have open arms and huge hearts,” said Ashley. “It is with very humbled hearts that they accepted our offer when we came to them with a fundraiser idea.”

The couple had two young girls of their own when they adopted a four-year-old boy from China nine years ago. They did not know at the time that their family hadn’t stopped growing.

“Serving as Pastor of Trinity Church in Escalon and Chaplain of the Escalon Fire Department, Jim is well known and well-loved in our small community,” Ashley added.

In 2015, a member of their church passed away suddenly leaving behind two young girls; Jim and Brenda took the girls into their home and within days of completing their guardianship hearing with the county, Jim Davis was diagnosed with brain cancer.

The next couple of months turned into a whirlwind of doctors’ appointments and tests and the past two years have had their fair share of ups and downs for the Davis family.

“Through it all, this family has stuck together – through doctors’ appointments in the city, school related activities for the kids, pastoral duties, and even the marriage of their oldest daughter among it all,” Ashley said.

Now, mom Mindy and daughter Ashley are hoping the community will respond to help the Davis family.

“As medical expenses accrue and the time taken off work to deal with sickness, we are looking forward to coming together as a community and blessing the Davis family,” Ashley added.

For those looking to participate but unable to make it out to the Saturday event, all sales from LuLaRoe Ashley and Mindy from Wednesday, Aug. 23 through Tuesday, Aug. 29 will be counted toward the fundraiser. Feel free to shop online at www.ShopAshleyMindy.com and join their Facebook page (Shop LuLaRoe Ashley and Mindy) to participate in all the fun and giveaways that will be going on all week.

“Thank you in advance for your support for Pastor Jim and Brenda Davis and their family,” Ashley said in welcoming the community to the event. “Even if you just want to come hang out with us, that is support in itself. We would love to have you. In the words of Brenda, ‘Expecting a miracle, any day will do!’.”
