A little later in the year than usual, Farmington firefighters have scheduled their ‘Fill the Boot’ effort for the long Labor Day holiday weekend. Donations made during the four-day collection will benefit the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento, helping provide programs and services to burn victims and survivors. Usually held over Presidents’ Day weekend in February, the local department had to postpone this year’s effort and decided to go with the final holiday weekend of the summer.
