Eski Fest On Saturday

A celebration marking 75 years of FFA in Escalon is planned for Saturday, May 11 on the campus of Escalon High School.

Coordinated through Lorina Cajias at Lorina’s Edible Garden, the ‘Eski Fest Ag Fair’ will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the high school, 1528 Yosemite Ave.

Come show support for the local FFA Chapter and take time to browse through a variety of vendor booths.

There will be an Ag Booster BBQ available for $6 that includes a trip tip sandwich, chips and drink, with a $3 cost for a hot dog, chips and drink. Trolley rides will be available to the School Farm and there, visitors can see the animals that will be at the auction sale during the San Joaquin County Fair. Mothers will receive a ‘Rainbow Rose’ from the FFA floral team, in honor of Mother’s Day.

Escalon FFA awards and honors for the past year will be on display in the school cafeteria and there will be FFA and EHS spirit wear available for sale, a pet adoption clinic through the Escalon Animal Shelter and car wash tickets being sold by the Escalon Travel Club. Over 40 vendor booths will offer a variety of merchandise – some appropriate for Mother’s Day gift giving – and there will also be jewelry for sale, tractors on display, vintage décor, custom embroidery and the chance to turn in gold to receive cash for shopping.

Other booths will offer candles, fresh produce and plants, self-defense products, body and spa products, designer make up, hand sewn items, home and garden products and more.

The day is designed to showcase the Escalon FFA and offer a fun, festive outing for community residents.
