Electronic Waste Disposal Event Offered On Sunday
escalon

The next E-Waste event for Escalon residents is scheduled for Sunday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Escalon Community Center. The center is at 1055 Escalon Ave., and this is the second of four electronic waste collection dates offered throughout the year. Two are on Saturdays; two are on Sundays, in hopes of accommodating all residents.

The first collection was Saturday, Jan. 13 with the next this coming Sunday, April 8.

Acceptable E-Waste items that can be dropped off are televisions, computer monitors, VCRs, radios and stereos, answering machines, telephones, CPUs, cassette tapes and 8-tracks, microwaves, cell phones and printers and fax machines. Also accepted on Sunday will be Styrofoam (no peanuts), mercury devices and batteries (no car batteries).

For more information, contact Diana Trejo at Escalon City Hall, 209-691-7422 or dtrejo@cityofescalon.org.

The remaining two collections for the year after Sunday are set for Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, Oct. 7, which will also include tire recycling.

Those attending must be Escalon residents and the service is ‘drive through’ with E-Waste technicians on hand to accept your household E-Waste.
