Local resident Karen Skelly puts some toys in the collection box at Vineyard Pharmacy, one of many collection points for the Escalon Fire Christmas Toy Drive, a joint effort of the Escalon Fire Department and Escalon American Legion Post 263. Sign-ups for the holiday toy distribution will be at the fire station on Coley Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the distribution day will be Thursday, Dec. 17 starting at 10 a.m. at the firehouse. Collection boxes are available at 20 locations in town and new, unwrapped toys are needed for all ages, boys and girls.
