Delicato Photography Show Awards Reception Scheduled

The 21st annual Delicato Photography Show features beautiful landscapes, majestic animals and wonderful portraits, with the photos on display through Saturday, June 24.

Best of Show is titled “One Missing Boot” by Shirley Stevens of Turlock and other award winning photos come from photographers in Central Valley communities ranging from Ripon to Pleasanton, Stockton to Oakdale. In the Landscape category, Leslie Thompson of Oakdale received an Honorable Mention for her color photo, Golden Gate Fountain.

There are 100 matted photographs that were chosen for the 2017 show and all will be available for purchase. Those viewing the photos will be asked to vote on their favorite for the ‘Visitors’ Choice Award’ and the winner will be announced at the Artists Awards Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, June 24.

Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Delicato Vineyards is off Highway 99 at Exit 246, four miles north of Manteca. Viewers can see the displayed photographs any day from now until the June 24 reception.

Hors d’oeuvres will be available at 3 p.m. for the reception, with the awards presented at 4 p.m.

The judge for 2017, Henry Paine, is from Stockton where he owns a camera repair and photography shop. He has been involved in photography for 45 years and has attended workshops given by Ansel Adams, Brett Weston and Richard Garrod over the years.
