Escalon’s 21st annual city-wide yard sale is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 5 and sign-ups are being taken now to get on the map.

Sale hours on Oct. 5 will be 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the city wide sale typically features around 100 sales, from individual sales to church groups, neighborhood efforts and more. The event also draws in customers from a wide area, some coming down from the Sonora or Sacramento regions and others making the trek over from the Bay Area for the day.

For residents planning to have a sale, they can have it listed on the special map that details all the locations, with a $5 fee payable to the city. The fee covers the cost of regional advertising and printing of the maps with addresses of residents participating in the sale.

A form in the city’s September-October newsletter can be filled out and returned to City Hall with the $5 fee to get on the map, with sign-ups due by Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The map is available at local businesses and at City Hall prior to and the day of the event.

For more information about the sale or how to participate, contact City Hall at 691-7400.
