Council Session Features Transit Needs Hearing
Escalon City Logo

An item on the Escalon City Council agenda for Monday night, Dec. 5 will focus on transit for city residents.

In cooperation with the San Joaquin Council of Governments, the City of Escalon is sponsoring an unmet transit needs public hearing on Monday at 7 p.m.

Offered on an annual basis, the goal of the public hearing is to gather comments from residents about how transit services can be improved in Escalon and to other areas in San Joaquin County. Once transit needs are met, the Transportation Development Act (TDA) funding that is used to operate and maintain eTrans, the city’s bus service, is then distributed to fund roadway, bicycle and pedestrian projects within the city limits.

The hearing will be held at the Escalon City Hall, 2060 McHenry Ave., Escalon.

For more information or to submit comments, contact city transit coordinator John Andoh at (209) 691-7465, email jandoh@cityofescalon.org or fax to (209) 691-7439.
