Christmas On Main Scheduled For Saturday

Escalon Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Christmas on Main event this weekend, with the fun scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2.

From making s’mores in the fire pits at the Main Street Park to enjoying musical performances and the holiday light parade at night, the Christmas on Main is designed to bring the community together for the official start to the holiday season.

A wide variety of vendor and food booths will be open in the park from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Musical entertainment during the day will include the El Portal Band, the Escalon High School Choir, a flute duet, Powerhouse Dance studio performances and more. The Parade of Lights, with entries outfitted with some type of holiday lighting, is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. and wraps up with the arrival of Santa at 6 p.m.

Activities for the kids will include different arts and crafts, photo opportunities and visits with Santa will be featured and attendees can also get some holiday shopping done while they enjoy the festive atmosphere.
