Association Of University Women Gather For First Session Of 2017

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Oakdale Riverbank Escalon Branch, is holding its first membership meeting for 2017, on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in Oakdale. Cheryl Brunk, Director of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, will be discussing the “Ten Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s”. She has been working with non-profit health organizations in the area over the last 30 years; most recently the last two years with the Alzheimer’s Association, and currently oversees 19 Walks by both the Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapters. Based on her affiliation with the Alzheimer’s Association, the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research, she will be able to inform and advocate for the identification, prevention, and care of the disease.
