Join In To Observe National Bike Month Activities

May is National Bike Month and San Joaquin County residents are encouraged to play BINGO, with a twist. Each square you check off on the BINGO card is an entry to win an electric bike. There’s still time to get involved if you hurry.

For up-to-date information on events and how to participate in the raffle and log trips, and a list of fun prizes, visit dibsmyway.com/bike-month.

How to play:

Download your BINGO card.

Log your trips to prove you’ve completed a square (each square must be a separate trip).

Email your completed card to maynard@sjcog.org no later than midnight on Tuesday, May 31 (be sure to fill out your name and email).

Each May, the San Joaquin Council of Governments’ dibs program promotes National Bike Month to encourage motorists to consider dusting off their bicycle and using it to commute to work, run errands and recreate. Doing that can help people to save money and the environment, stay fit, and be productive. dibs coordinates a program-wide raffle and supports employer and local events with promotional items, posters, and on-site exhibits. The theme this year is that biking is “Wheely cool!”

This year’s electric bike grand prize is sponsored by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.
