‘Tis that time of year when we aim to give and to shop, and the Oakdale Women’s Club is ringing in the season with an event satisfying both of those goals.

The OWC announces its Holiday Cheers program, scheduled for the first Tuesday of December, Dec. 7, at noon, at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

This year, in lieu of members exchanging gifts, they are bringing gifts for children and military veterans in Oakdale.

Gifts to needy children will be distributed by the Oakdale Family Support Network, a non-profit in partnership with the Oakdale Valley Hospital District. Gifts to local veterans will be distributed by Corey Murphy, who will be speaking at the luncheon about valor.

Shop the Oakdale Women’s Club holiday boutique for unique gifts: handbags, jewelry, holiday table decor, succulent plant centerpieces, and more. Plus, sing and dance along with Santa and Mrs. Claus as the OWC membership celebrates good cheer for all.
