HISTORY LESSON
motor

Young visitors to the Escalon Historical Society Museum on Saturday, July 27 enjoyed the chance to see a small electric motor in motion and learn how it worked, complete with an old fashioned miniature fly wheel spinning when the motor was energized. Overseeing the demonstration was society member Dave Russell, sharing information with brothers Elliot, 5, and Theodore Hucke, 3, visiting the museum with their grandmother, Wendy Fenton. Historical Society officials also announced that Deanna Bailey Miles of Riverbank won the painting that was raffled off at Park Fete. She is the daughter of founding society member Irma Bailey.
