Retail Crime Ring
A CHP-led multi-agency operation targeting an organized retail crime operation in Stockton recovered $1 million in stolen goods on Oct. 26. The investigation uncovered a house used as a hub for purchasing and reselling stolen merchandise. The collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies facilitated a successful arrest of a 52-year-old man from Stockton, who is facing felony charges linked to retail theft and grand theft.
Isleton Man Arrested
An Isleton man was arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material on Oct. 23 after a two-month investigation by the CHP’s Computer Crimes Investigation Unit.
CHP Secures $5.9M Grant
The CHP was awarded a $5.9 million grant with the goal of improving road safety within the state by decreasing instances of impaired driving. The funds will assist in expanding the CHP’s DUI saturation patrols, implementing sobriety checkpoints, and enhancing traffic safety education initiatives.
K9 Discovery
An enforcement stop for speeding in the Castaic area of Los Angeles on Oct. 26 resulted in a seizure of 140 Kilos of cocaine by CHP Southern Division Special Services K9 “JD.”
