The Healing Arenas program is gearing up for its fourth annual “Shooting for the Stable” event, set for Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Escalon Sportsmen’s Club.

This benefit is designed to help horses and humans; as Healing Arenas offers programs for veterans and first responders and utilizes retired racehorses as part of the process.

Tickets are available online and should be purchased by Monday, Oct. 8. Purchase them at: https://squareup.com/store/healing-arenas-inc.

“This year, Called 2 Arms will be handling our gun raffles,” noted Healing Arenas President Julie Baker. “We’re pretty excited as we have a few of their special items especially for our live auction.”

The benefit dinner, live auction and trapshooting event benefits all Healing Arenas projects. They include The Stable Survivors Veterans Project, which assists those with PTSD and re-adjustment issues, and the Stable Responders Program designed for assisting EMS, fire department, police and healthcare practitioners.

The trap shoot begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Sportsmen’s Club, 25195 E. River Road, Escalon, with championship rounds at 6 p.m.

That will be followed by the awards and a social hour, with the dinner served at 7 p.m.

The live auction and gun raffle will follow.

The 6 p.m. no host bar will feature beer and wine and ticket prices for the tri-tip and chicken dinner are $40 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. There is also a military and first responder discount, $30 for a ticket with ID/license.

The trap shoot features divisions for men, women, youth and teams. Teams are made up of five individuals for 50 rounds. For information, call Tony at the Sportsmen’s Club at 209-568-8046.
