Fun Bunch Decides To Cancel Outdoor Social

In light of Escalon, along with the rest of San Joaquin County, dropping back into the most restrictive ‘purple’ tier this week, Escalon Fun Bunch leaders are canceling their planned outdoor social gathering.

The event had been scheduled under the covered pavilion at the Escalon Community Center Park on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

However, opting to take precautions and keep local seniors safe, the group said they felt it was best to cancel. Both the threatening weather forecast and the new restrictions that come with the purple tier factored in to the decision.

Instead, they are now planning a special holiday ‘drive-thru’ event for senior citizens in December. The date announced is Dec. 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Escalon Community Center. More details will be provided at a later date.
