Friday family movies at Main Street Park

The schedule of family-friendly Friday night movies continues at Escalon’s Main Street Park, presented by the Escalon Library in cooperation with Escalon Recreation.

Escalon Strong sponsored the first show in the summer series, The Sandlot on June 7, while Escalon Sunrise Rotary Club was the sponsor for the June 14 showing of Wish.

Next up on the Friday night schedule will be Migration, June 21, sponsored by Diane and Doug Alcorn; followed by June 28, Trolls Band Together, sponsored by Escalon Chamber of Commerce; Kung Fu Panda 4 on July 12 (No movie on July 5), sponsored by Escalon American Legion Post 263; and wrapping up the summer series on July 19 with The Goonies, sponsored by Escalon Friends of the Library.

Movies are presented free; those planning to attend should bring blankets or lawn chairs. The movies begin at the park, 1771 Main, about 9 p.m. and light jackets are also recommended for attendees. Snacks are available for purchase through local non-profit sponsors.
