San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District will be distributing mosquitofish free to the residents of Lodi, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon, Manteca, Lathrop and Stockton, and surrounding San Joaquin County areas.

In Escalon, the giveaway is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Hogan-Ennis Park parking lot at 1051 Escalon Ave., adjacent to the city’s Community Center.

Mosquitofish will be provided to residents of cities and rural areas within San Joaquin County only. Residents will be asked to provide name, address, and location where fish will be placed. A maximum of 15 fish will be provided to each resident as long as supplies last.

Ideal places to use mosquitofish to prevent mosquito development: ornamental ponds, neglected swimming pools and animal water troughs.
