A motorcyclist died of injuries suffered Saturday, March 27 in a crash along Valley Home Road, north of Lambuth.

Stanislaus County Coroner’s officials identified the victim of that Saturday night multi-vehicle accident as Nickoles Snow, 26, of Escalon.

According to the CHP report, Snow was on a 2003 Honda motorcycle, southbound on Valley Home Road, at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle collided into the rear of a southbound 2017 Ford passenger van, with eight people aboard. The impact caused substantial damage to the rear of the van and authorities said Snow was ejected from the motorcycle on impact. He was then struck by a northbound 2008 Acura and a southbound 2012 Ford pick-up struck the motorcycle in the roadway, which caused the truck to go off the road and strike a power pole. The pole was sheared off and the motorcycle then caught fire, bringing live wires down on the roadway.

Cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the CHP. The four-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 845 p.m.; Snow was declared deceased on scene.
