In September 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 941 (Bennett, Chapter 203) into law, which established the Farmworker Resource Center Grant Program. This grant will make funding available to counties to establish and fund farmworker resource centers that provide information and access to services for farmworkers and their families.

Over the coming months, the California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) will be convening a series of meetings of the Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup.

This workgroup is part of the development and implementation process for the Farmworker Resource Center Grant Program established by AB 941. Meetings will be accessible to the public at a physical location as well as virtually via Zoom.

CSD will convene the first meeting of the Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup on June 23, 2022, to discuss the development and implementation of this grant. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting either in person or via Zoom. The meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 23 at The California Endowment Adelante Meeting Room, 1414 K St., Sacramento.
