It’s Holiday Bazaar time in the Central Valley. Be sure and mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 20 and make time to visit the Farmington United Methodist Church annual Crafters’ Boutique/Bazaar, which also offers a soup and pie luncheon.
The boutique will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The craft boutique will feature unique hand sewn, crocheted, knitted and embroidered items, holiday wreaths and decorations, and handmade jewelry by Jacque. Aunt Martha’s Kitchen will offer freshly baked goods, candies, nuts, pomegranates and other goodies, while a number of vendors from the local area will be providing a distinctive variety of homemade items for sale; items that are beautifully crafted with prices that are very affordable.
Food items from the soup and pie luncheon can be purchased individually or the full lunch special, including drinks, soup, Genova bread and pie, can be purchased for only $8. Homemade soups offered include: Dutch meatball, split pea, chicken tortilla, minestrone, cream of potato, cream of broccoli, clam chowder or Zuppa Tuscana.
There is also an opportunity drawing for a handmade red, white and blue quilt with scalloped edges, two pillow shams and one pillow. Tickets are available at the boutique or from church members, and the drawing will be held at 2 pm.
