Ed and I attended the Farmington Fire Department annual Pancake Breakfast. Fire Chief Conni Bailey was standing over the hot stove preparing the scrambled eggs. They served ham, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Volunteers were serving, cleaning tables and making sure everyone was being accommodated and having a fun time. There were several hundred prizes to be given out at the raffle. Found friends enjoying breakfast with family members and met new people and made friends. I believe this year was a record year for attendance. Chief Bailey stated there were 861 tickets sold. It was a big day for all. But, Chief Bailey is so proud and feels very lucky to have a community that supports the Volunteer Fire Department so very well.
