‘Fall’ For Soroptimist At Annual Mixer
SOROPTIMIST FALL MIXER

Community members are invited to ‘FALL’ for Soroptimist International of Oakdale during the group’s annual membership mixer.

The mixer is a way for all the club members to introduce themselves and how the organization has affected them and give a new understanding of what SIO stands for.

Each of the committee chairs will have a chance to speak to the guests and explain more in depth about what SIO does, like the Live Your Dream award that provides head of household women with scholarship money to aid them in reaching their educational goals.

Along with members explaining the committees, a past recipient of the Live Your Dream Award will also get to speak about her experience with the scholarship process, especially since the past award winner is also a newer member of SIO.

Small bite appetizers such as cranberry brie tarts, caprese skewers, stuffed turkey rolls and other fall themed food items will be served alongside apple cider mimosas during the evening beginning at 5:30 p.m., allowing guests time to mingle before the speeches. The event will last until 7 p.m. and will be hosted on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Oakdale Tourism and Visitors Center at 7450 River Road.

Not only does the membership mixer allow the community to better understand SIO, but there will also be informational flyers and applications available if anyone has the interest in joining.

Soroptimist International is a global organization group tended by women who support other women and their communities. The group in Oakdale has been in existence for 67 years and still going strong.

To RSVP to the event, contact Chris Di Christina by Thursday, Sept. 15 at 209-606-5517.
