Escalon Fire Calls 6-26-24

Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 23 calls for service during the period of Monday, June 17 through Sunday, June 23. Calls included:

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 23

12:16 a.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 1600 block David.

7:01 a.m. – EMS call, 16000 block Escalon-Bellota Road.

11 a.m. – Smoke investigation, 29000 block Orange; units responded to a report of smoke in the area, determined to be from an unauthorized burn, resident extinguished the fire.

3:20 p.m. – EMS, 30000 block Lone Tree.

8:07 p.m. – EMS, 1300 block Escalon Avenue.

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 22

4:43 p.m. – Water rescue, 22000 block McBride; responded with mutual aid to Stanislaus County. Kayakers flipped over and needed assistance; removed from water by Stanislaus County crews.

5:24 p.m. – Water rescue, 24000 block River Road. Launched Boat 1-1 on scene, with six total subjects assisted out of the water, no medical aid required.

10:39 p.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 1000 block Escalon Avenue; determined to be a false alarm.

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 21

11:43 a.m. – Animal rescue, 2500 block Judith; dog stuck in a fence, assisted with freeing the dog.

2:38 p.m. – EMS call, 1500 block Elizabeth.

 

THURSDAY, JUNE 20

1:25 a.m. – EMS call, 1600 block Mitchell.

 

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19

10:45 a.m. – EMS call, 29000 block East Orange.

12:33 p.m. – EMS, 1100 block Yosemite.

5:15 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, River east of Carrolton; solo vehicle into a house in the 19000 block of River, no injuries reported. Scene turned over to CHP.

 

TUESDAY, JUNE 18

2 a.m. – EMS call, 1700 block Irwin.

6:13 a.m. – Lift assist, 2300 block Selma Court.

8:29 a.m. – Structure fire reported, 21000 block Lone Tree; units responded to a barn fire, estimated 100-by-50 hay barn on scene destroyed. Crews worked to protect other structures surrounding the barn. Engine 1-1, Water Tender 1-1, Water Tender 1-2, Engine 1-2, Engine 1-4 and Chief 1-1 all on scene. Mutual aid was called in from Farmington, Collegeville, Ripon and Montezuma fire departments. Fire units remained on scene for several hours to contain and extinguish the fire.

11:10 a.m. – EMS, 2300 block Spring.

2:31 p.m. – EMS, 15000 block Steinegul.

 

MONDAY, JUNE 17

12:46 a.m. – Vegetation fire, 26000 block Jones; located a large burn pile on scene, no threat of extension.

3:38 p.m. – Mutual aid to the 2400 block of East Bronzan Road; Engine 1-4 responded to a call in Lathrop, canceled prior to arrival.

5:29 p.m. – Wires down with grass on fire, 29000 block Lone Tree; units discovered the fire was caused by a tree falling onto a power line. Engine 1-1, Water Tender 1-1 and Brush 1-1, along with Chief 1-1, all responded to the scene. Light vegetation on fire, extinguished, less than one acre involved.

6:58 p.m. – Mutual aid, Escalon-Bellota and Dodds; Engine 1-1 assisted Farmington Fire Department with a motor vehicle accident. Power lines down and small grass fire on scene, Engine 1-1 provided manpower.
