Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 25 calls for service during the period of Monday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 25. Calls included:
SUNDAY, SEPT. 25
1:19 a.m. – Vegetation fire, 14000 block Campbell, crews arrived on scene to find commodity pile on fire, extinguished and turned scene back over to property owner for overhaul.
6:52 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, Highway 120 and Steinegul, responded for the report of a vehicle accident, two vehicles involved; one fatality. Assisted with traffic control on scene.
12:58 p.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 26000 block Highway 120.
2:03 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, Escalon-Bellota and Dove Road; vehicle vs. motorcycle; one fatality. Assisted medics on scene.
5:07 p.m. – EMS, 2200 block Strong.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 24
11:05 a.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 30000 block Lone Tree; canceled prior to arrival, false alarm.
2:11 p.m. – EMS call, 2000 block Jackson.
6:20 p.m. – Lift assist, 23000 block River Road.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 23
4:12 a.m. – Vegetation fire, Sutliff and Highway 120; Engine 1-1 extinguished a small spot fire in the area.
9:58 p.m. – Medical alarm sounding, 17000 block South Lawrence; determined to be a false alarm.
10:19 p.m. – EMS call, 2500 block Jackson.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 22
7:20 a.m. – EMS call, 500 block Zinfandel.
12:37 p.m. – EMS, 28000 block Orange.
5:26 p.m. – Lift assist, 1500 block Brayton.
6:32 p.m. – Possible structure fire reported, 1300 block Sacramento; canceled prior to arrival.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 21
11:22 a.m. – EMS call, 20000 block Highway 120.
2:26 p.m. – Lift assist, 29000 block Chapman.
3:54 p.m. – Mutual aid call at Highway 120 and North Ripon Road; canceled prior to arrival.
