Escalon 4-H Exhibitors Take Honors At Agfest

Shown, members of the Escalon 4-H Dairy Project Club, which took the Group first place award at the San Joaquin County Agfest. The Beef Project Club Group also brought home first place honors.

Escalon 4-H members exhibited their projects at Agfest the week of June 8 through 15, exhibiting their Dairy Cattle, Breeding Beef, Market Beef, Market Sheep, Breeding Goats, Market Goats, Rabbits and Swine.

The Dairy Cattle and Market Beef both won the Champion 4-H Club Group awards.

Mikalya Egan represented Escalon 4-H with her Dairy project in the 4-H Master Showmanship event placing 7th overall.

 

DAIRY PROJECT EXHIBITORS:

Allie Alicea: 3rd and 7th places in the 4-H Replacement Heifer event, and 6th place in Intermediate Showmanship.

Mila Alves: 1st place winter yearling Registered Jersey; Junior Champion Registered Jersey and 7th place Intermediate Showmanship.

Jonathan Barnes: 2nd place with his 3 yr Grade Jersey and participated in Intermediate Showmanship.

Emily Bavaro: 2nd place winter heifer Holstein calf; 1st place senior Yearling Heifer Holstein; 1st place Senior Yearling Holstein Heifer; 1st place 2 year old Holstein cow; 3rd place 2 year old cow Holstein; 1st place 3 year old Holstein cow; 1st place Daughter Dam Holstein; 1st place Holstein Pair of Females; Honorable Mention Senior Holstein Heifer Calf; Honorable Mention 2 year old Holstein Cow; Reserve Grand Champion Senior Holstein; Reserve Champion Holstein 2 year old Cow; Participated and exhibited in the Replacement Heifer class and 3rd Place Advanced Showmanship.

John Bavaro: Participated and exhibited the Replacement Heifer class and Intermediate Showmanship class.

Dillan Booth: 2nd place Dry Cow Jersey Grade; 6th place in Advanced Showmanship.

Haylee Castro: 2nd place Junior 2 year old Grade Jersey; 1st place 3 year old grade Jersey; 3rd place in best pair grade Jersey; participated in Showmanship.

Mikayla Egan: 1st place Jersey Junior 2 year old grade; 1st place Grade Holstein winter heifer calf; Reserve Senior Champion Grand Champion Grade Jersey. 1st place Advanced Showmanship.

Rylan Eproson: 5th place Senior Jersey Heifer and participated in Novice Showmanship.

Tommy Eproson: 3rd place Jersey Junior 2 year old; 2nd place Jersey Senior Heifer class; 2nd place Jersey best pair; participated in Intermediate Showmanship.

Jordin Lovett: 1st place Senior 2 year old Grade Jersey; Honorable mention Senior Champion Grade Jersey; 9th place Intermediate Showmanship.

Makenzie Mendes: 2nd place Holstein grade 2 year old class; 11th place intermediate showmanship.

Zorah Mitchell: 2nd Place Junior yearling heifer Jersey grade; participated in intermediate showmanship.

Amelia Nevarez: 1st place Jersey Dry Cow class registered; 2nd place winter yearling Registered Jersey class; 1st Place pair of Registered females; Reserve Senior Champion; Reserve Grand Champion; Reserve Junior Champion heifer; 4th place Advanced Showmanship.
