The Emergency Food Bank Stockton/San Joaquin just announced the addition of two new board members, Steve Dougherty with Dougherty CPAs, Inc., and Vanessa Van Raub-Tim with Van De Pol Enterprises, Inc.

“The Emergency Food Bank faces sustained challenges in 2021: 23 percent of California households battle food insecurity as we move out of the Pandemic; that is 2.5 times more people than before the COVID-19 Emergency. We are re-opening Partner Pantries, re-establishing Mobile Farmer Market sites in schools and community centers that were truncated during lockdowns, and adding storage capacity to our Food Bank warehouse,” said Emergency Food Bank CEO, Dr. Leonard O. Hansen Ph.D. “We welcome Vanessa Van Raub-Tim back to our Board after a year away and look forward to the new insight that Steve Dougherty will bring as a new member. Our non-profit Board of Directors added resilience, resource, and stability throughout the last 15 challenging months. We will move together into the new year creating growth for our clients, our Team, and the Emergency Food Bank here in Stockton.”

The mission of the Emergency Food Bank is to build a stronger community by providing a safety net of healthy food, nutrition education and hope to residents of San Joaquin County who find themselves in need.
