Escalon FFA members donned their signature blue jackets and waved to the crowd on Friday afternoon, taking part in the downtown parade.

It wouldn’t be Homecoming Week without the traditional downtown parade in Escalon and plenty of entries passed by those lining the streets on Friday afternoon.

Under a bright blue sky and with a light autumn breeze, Main Street was packed with parade watchers as the line of entries took off from Coley Avenue, made their way up First Street and then turned on to Main, eventually dispersing further down Main Street past the park.

Music, floats, the American Legion colorguard, the Grand Marshal, all were a part of the festivities to get the Oct. 12 Homecoming Celebration kicked off on a good note.
