The Escalon FFA has been preparing for the Delta Cal section FFA speaking contest at Linden High School, which took place on February 5. We were excited for the opportunity to showcase our speaking ability and we were able to take home some ribbons as well.

For the Freshman Creed Competition, Molly Terpstra won 3rd place. For the Sophomore Impromptu Speaking Competition, we had two contestants. Madison Hagglund was 5th and Jacob Dugo earned 2nd place. For the Job Interview Contest, Ella Adams earned 4th place, and Alayna Azevedo competed. For the Extemporaneous Speaking Jack Fitzgerald won 3rd place and Julie Avila competed. Lastly, with Prepared Public Speaking contestant Katie Avila won 5th place. Contestants who placed within the top four of their competition will be advancing to the regional competition in March. Congratulations to all who participated and good luck to those advancing to regionals.
