With the completion of the high school fall sports schedule and Section Championships for the first time in two years, Crystal Creamery is marking the occasion with the return of its commemorative milk cartons honoring Sac-Joaquin Section football and volleyball champions. The fall sports season, which includes football, volleyball, cross country and girls golf in Escalon, also features tennis, water polo, and soccer for some schools and was cancelled or postponed throughout California in 2020 due to the pandemic.

“Crystal Creamery is celebrating the successful return of high school sports this past fall with these commemorative milk cartons,” said Brian Carden, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for Crystal Creamery. “We appreciate the hard work and commitment put forth by the athletes, coaches, families and schools.”

Locally, the milk cartons celebrate the Section titles earned this year by the Lady Cougars on the volleyball court in Division IV and the football Cougars on the gridiron in Division V.

As a long-time sponsor of high school sports and the California Interscholastic Federation’s Central, Sac-Joaquin and North Coast Sections, Crystal Creamery has now honored more than 325 Section winning teams, scholar athletes and Hall of Fame members on commemorative milk cartons since 2012. Through its sponsorship, Crystal Creamery helps support more than 470 California high schools stretching from Bakersfield to Crescent City.

“The past two years have been a challenge for all of us, so having our partner, Crystal Creamery, recognize the Section Champions with these cartons is important for our student athletes,” said Mike Garrison, Commissioner of the Sac-Joaquin Section. “Crystal Creamery shares our belief that sports are critically important to the development of young men and women as the lessons they learn and the experiences they receive will remain with them throughout their lives.”

Milk is a nutrient-rich way to fuel athletic performance and to repair, rehydrate and replenish muscles and bodies. The commemorative cartons celebrating the Section Champion boys’ football and girls’ volleyball teams can be found at local grocery and convenience stores including Target, O’Brien’s Market, Cost Less, Mar Val, and Holiday Markets.
