Escalon Police officers responded to a home on San Miguel in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec 1 and subsequently arrested one subject at the location.

Officers were called to the home just after 2 a.m. to a report of a disturbance. Upon further investigation, they determined Angel Mendiola, 18, had battered a second individual in the home and he was taken into custody. He was arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic battery and child endangerment.
