A Water Rate Study Workshop is scheduled for the Escalon City Council on Monday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.

The session will be hosted at the council chambers on McHenry Avenue.

“The water rate study is in response to obtaining funding for the replacement Well 1A, confirming to the State that the City has rates in place to support the financing,” explained City Manager Tammy Alcantor, who informed the council of the workshop at the Monday, Oct. 21 regular council meeting.

In other business at a relatively short session, the council continued the Memorandum of Understanding with the Parks Foundation until the meeting of Monday, Nov. 18. Also, Mayor Robert Swift and Councilmember Peter Krumeich have been designated to work through the agreement with the Parks Foundation and staff.

“We are also preparing to get back the Wastewater Treatment Plant Study and have tentatively set the date of Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. for a workshop,” Alcantor noted.

The meeting date still needs to be confirmed with the consultant, said Alcantor.
