Community gathers downtown for Homecoming parade

Sunshine and temperatures in the mid-80s greeted those attending the Fall Homecoming parade in Escalon’s downtown area on Friday, Sept. 25.

Multiple entries were featured, from musical groups to school floats, community service organizations to sports teams. It was just part of the celebration, as Escalon High School had a week full of activities around a Willy Wonka theme and local residents enjoyed the pageantry that goes along with Homecoming, including a big varsity win on the football field.
