Vendors, Bunny Visit

Come enjoy Easter at White Blossom Ranch on Saturday April 9, 10700 Highway 120, East Oakdale. Events will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be vendors, food and fun. Also, the Easter Bunny will be on hand to pose for photos with visitors or you can also visit with and take photos with real bunnies. All are welcome to attend.

 

Garden, Plant Sale

An Oakdale Community Garden fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 at 410 E. A St., Oakdale. There will be perennial and annual plants, potted arrangements, garden accessories and garden art available. This sale will help raise funds for the Oakdale Community Garden project. Hours are Friday, April 15 from noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Upcoming Quilt Show

Mark the calendar for the weekend of April 9 and 10 and plan to visit the Heart of the Valley Quilt and Textile Arts Show. It will be staged at Modesto Junior College West Campus, ACE Pavilion, in Modesto. Admission is $10 for teens and adults with those 12 and under admitted free. The Modesto Quilt Show is the largest in the Central Valley and this year will feature Alex Anderson, a quilter, teacher, author and fabric designer who also hosts an online quilt show. Also included in the show will be displays of traditional, modern and art quilts, there will be a raffle, handmade items at a boutique, drawing for prize baskets and a variety of vendors. Pancake Breakfast

St Patrick’s Altar Society will present its annual Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10 from 7 a.m. to noon, located in the hall at St Patrick’s Church at 19399 E. Highway 120, Ripon. Breakfast includes pancakes, linguica, ham, eggs, juice and coffee. All this for $10.00 per person (11 and older) and $5.00 per child (3-10 years). Tickets are sold at the door or advance tickets can be purchased at the St Patrick’s Church office.

 

Veterans Invited To Meet

All area veterans are being invited to what is being billed as a ‘Homecoming’ – and it’s scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at the Escalon American Legion Post on Second Street in Escalon. Whether they want to learn more about the local Legion or just connect with other veterans, Escalon Post member Allan Lial said they will start with a taco truck dinner at 5 p.m. on April 12, followed by a time for visiting. Weight Loss Support

All interested are welcome to join TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) a weight support group that meets in Oakdale every Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church on Poplar. This group is open to the public and anyone interested in improving their life by losing weight can contact Audrey for more information, call 209-765-7838.

 

Widowed Persons Meet

Oakdale Widowed Persons Group invites you to join them the first Saturday of each month for breakfast at 9 a.m. and on the third Tuesday of each month for lunch at 1 p.m.; call for locations. Enjoy Dancing

Check out the Golden Agers at the Riverbank Community Center on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with dancing, socializing, live music and fun for all. All adults 55-plus are welcome.
