The student section at the Friday night, Nov. 4 football game at Engel Field came to support the Escalon Cougars and had a patriotic theme, many in attendance modeling the red, white and blue. Members of the Escalon American Legion Post 263 presented the colors prior to kickoff of the first-round playoff game. The crowd was treated to a shutout win by the varsity squad, which now moves on to the second round in Sac-Joaquin Section Division 5 play on Nov. 11.
