Chamber Farmer’s Market, Wine & Brew Stroll Return
E chamber

Some special events are coming up in the next few weeks, sponsored by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce.

Completing a successful three-month run – hosted the third Thursday in May, June and July, officials with the chamber have gotten the go ahead for an August Farmer’s Market at Main Street Park downtown. Scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., this month’s market is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 18. Flowers, local produce, music, artisanal food, sweet treats and home goods will be among the offerings. There is no entry fee; vendors have a variety of goods for sale at varying prices. Booths are set up in the Main Street Park area, with musicians on stage and an area set aside for eating.

Also next month, in September, the Chamber of Commerce will host its popular Wine & Brew Stroll. Open to those 21 and over only, the stroll is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 along Main Street, with a portion of the street closed down for the festivities. Wines and craft brews will be paired with different foods, with entertainment also featured throughout the event and drawings for prizes. The evening typically sees the businesses along Main Street staying open late and offering hors d’oeuvres for stroll attendees as well.

Tickets are $35 per person; visit the chamber’s website at escalonchamberofcommerce.org for more information.
