Another ‘Sunday in the Park’ family fun day is set for this weekend, hosted by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce on June 2, while the first of the weekly Small Town Roots farmers markets is also on the schedule.

The 2019 season for the Saturday morning Farmers Markets will open up at 2996 McHenry Ave., scheduled on June 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. Vendor spaces are still available; the market last year featured a variety of fresh local produce, flowers, arts and crafts, honey, nuts and more. More information about the market is available by calling 209-480-7615 and the market is scheduled to run each Saturday. You can also visit www.facebook.com/STRfarmersmarket for more information.

Coming up on Sunday, June 2 it is the Father’s Day-themed gathering in the city’s Main Street Park, offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids can make cards or take-home gifts for dad to help him celebrate Father’s Day later in the month and there are always tours of the historic caboose, games, music and more.

This month, the Chamber will host a series of new member ribbon cuttings as part of the Sunday in the Park event as well, including Care 2 U Tele-Dentistry Services at 11:30 a.m.; Wallpapers By Wendy at noon; and Color Street-Dawn Machado at 12:30 p.m.
