Labor Day Weekend Features Arts, Crafts Festival In Arnold
US Flag

The 45th Annual Labor Day Weekend Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2 and 3 in the mountain resort town of Arnold on Highway 4.

Situated among the pines and redwoods, Arnold’s popular end-of-summer celebration features over 50 booths of original crafts and art of all kinds – all exhibited by the artists: woodwork, metal sculpture, yard art, pottery, jewelry, quilts, chain-saw sculptures, soaps and spa essentials, fine art, clothing, scarves, dolls, birdhouses/feeders, fused glass plates and windchimes, hand-painted furniture, photography, kid’s toys, hats, purses, succulents, leather, – just to name a few. There’s gourmet foods to sample and face painting and henna for the kids – or ‘adult’ kids.

Continuous shows of live country/swing music by ‘Homegrown’ from Modesto and juggling performances by ‘Catch it Quick’ jugglers from Chico are held in between both days.

The Ebbett’s Pass Volunteer Fire Department always serves local Calaveras County beers, and a variety of homemade, hot prepared food booths, kettlekorn, pre-packaged foods of all kinds and baked goods round out the deliciousness. The Ebbett’s Pass Lions Club hosts its all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast of ham, eggs, and pancakes both days from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for only $8.

The Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day on the park-like grounds around Bristol’s Ranch House Café in downtown Arnold (formerly held at Cedar Center). Admission and parking are free, so come join the celebration. The address is 961 Highway 4, Arnold, CA, 95223.
