With the approaching holiday season – a time of travel and spending time with family – the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively supporting the independence of the most experienced drivers on the road. The CHP is joining with the American Occupation Therapy Association to recognize Dec. 7-11, 2015, as Older Driver Safety Awareness Week. “Older Driver Safety Awareness Week aims to promote understanding of the importance of roadway safety and to ensure older adults remain active in the community,” CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow said.
