The State Theatre and the ZaSu Pitts Memorial Orchestra are partnering to raise funds for the Camp Fire (Paradise, California) victims. The 13-piece R & B orchestra, formed by bass player and the recipient of the 2018 MAMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Steve Ashman, are coming together for this special occasion.

Sponsored by Modesto Subaru, the fundraising concert is scheduled for Friday, March 1 with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m.

General admission tickets are $35. The State Theatre is at 1307 J St., Modesto.

ZaSu Pitts can best be compared to a ‘60s Motown soul revue with all of the horns, vocals and rhythm guaranteed to rock the house. ZPMO is the world’s most dangerous jam band and is sure to play the favorites that’ll make you dance in the aisles – and all with a big sound. Special guests to be announced.

For online ticket sales go to www.thestate.org. To purchase your tickets by phone call the Box Office at 209-527-4697 from noon to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. If still available, tickets may also be purchased the night of the event up to the start of the presentation.
