Wrestling Club Travels To Tokay Tournament

Tokay High School was the setting for recent competition taken on by members of the Escalon Wrestling Club. Here are results of that Dec. 16 tournament, with names spelled as provided.

In the 5-6 year old division, taking a well-deserved first was Cecilla Bargas.

In The 7-8 year old Division, Beginners, taking fourth place showing constant improvement was Teagen Mittlestadt. Also showing great promise was Brody Krasco taking third.

Experienced Division, looking tough was Freddy Velasco, finishing third in his weight class.

9-10 year old, Beginners, continuing to look tough taking third place Cole McDowell with Conner McDowell taking second place. Also looking good taking second place was Than Butler.

Looking great again, taking home golds were Beau Morgan and Micky Bell.

Experienced, looking better each time out taking second was Houston Sizuela.

11-12 year olds, Experienced, looking great again was Frankie Rodriguez taking a second place and Alex Guiterez, Alex also looked really tough taking second in the much older 13-15 year old division.

The team was coached by Jonathan Costa and assistants.

Escalon Wrestling Club will wrestle Sunday, Jan. 6 at Escalon High School and Club President Derek Scott urged everyone to come out and support the youth wrestlers.
