Recent non-league action on the road taking on Ripon Christian saw Escalon’s Lady Cougar golfers take a win off the course, while they fell by 10 strokes in league play to Riverbank.

Against Ripon Christian, it was a 180-187 win for Escalon, playing at the Jack Tone Golf Course.

Individual scores were: Elizabeth Allan 39, Genevieve Casazza 47, Rose Percey 47, Cortney Ball 49. The top four scores count for the final team score. Also playing were Olivia Aceves, 54 and Taylor Bruns, 57.

On Tuesday, Sept. 5 the girls played a league match at Escalon Golf Course, which serves as the home course for both Escalon and Riverbank. This time, it was a ‘home’ match for Riverbank and the Lady Bruins scored the 181-191 victory over Escalon.

Lady Cougar scores were Casazza 40, Allan 47, Percey 48, Samantha Bruns 56. Taylor Bruns, 58 and Aceves, 60, rounded out those on the course.

This week, Escalon was slated to host Hughson on Tuesday, Sept. 12 after The Times went to press and will host Ripon on Thursday, Sept. 14.
