JUNIOR VARSITY

The junior varsity soccer girls came away with a win at home against Hughson in their one game scheduled this past week. The game on Wednesday, Feb. 7 saw the squad find the back of the net multiple times with goals from several players in the shutout 5-0 victory.

“This was a fun and enjoyable game for the girls,” said head coach Jen Schmidt. “I was able to move them into different positions throughout the game and see what they could do.”

Four different players found the net and there were also assists from four of the JV girls as well.

“Nevaeh Pence shined with two assists, one going to Liz Cortes and the other to Nallely Patino,” Schmidt said. “Gena Goodman assisted a goal scored by Liz Cortes. Jayda Enes also assisted a goal scored by Alexis Barron and Alexis returned the favor by giving an assist to Jayda Enes for her goal.”
