Call it a ‘soft’ re-opening.

Escalon Golf Course is back in business, at least for a few days a week.

The local nine-hole golf course was able to open up for public play effective Friday, May 1. Current hours will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The course will remain closed Monday through Thursday until further notice but will be open for the weekend golfing. Officials noted that social distancing protocols will be in place and payment for utilizing the course will have to be made electronically, as the local course is not accepting cash payments.
