The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," announced its Fifth Anniversary Season in 2009-10 will be themed "All Out, All Season," selecting the season's marketing campaign to spotlight the relentless, blue collar efforts of the Thunder players and front office to the fans as a part of game night promotions, special events, community activities, charitable efforts and the Thunder's official website, www.StocktonThunder.com.

The Thunder is the first team in the ECHL to lead the league in attendance for four straight seasons since the Florida Everblades accomplished the feat for five straight years (2000-05). In 2008-09, the Thunder surpassed the mark of 220,000 fans for the fourth consecutive season and has recorded 13 sellouts at the 9,737-seat Stockton Arena since entering the league in 2005-06.

"The Thunder is working hard to be the best team in the league - on and off the ice, all season long," said Thunder director of marketing Marlena Aranda. "In spite of the tough economic times many of us are currently facing, the Thunder organization is continuing our efforts to earn the support of our beloved fans and corporate partners by delivering a quality product at a great value."

The official Fifth Anniversary logo and artwork were released with the announcement of the 2009-10 campaign, communicating an industrial, blue collar feel and featuring a simple and classic circular design adorned in the Thunder's black, gold and white colors.

The Fifth Anniversary logo was designed and produced by graphic designer Ernest Latham III and will be featured on pucks, jerseys, hats and other Thunder merchandise available throughout the season at the Stockton Arena "Fan Attic" and online at www.StocktonFanAttic.com. Kicking off the year's theme, the Thunder will give fans their first chance to view the team, up-close and personal at the fifth-annual "Thunder FanFest," on Sunday, Oct. 11 at Stockton Arena. The event, traditionally marking the launching of the hockey season in the San Joaquin Valley, is open to the public free-of-charge. All fans will be able to pick up their 2009-10 season ticket books and mini-plan tickets and are invited to participate in a handful of family-friendly activities, complete with autographs, giveaways and more. Last year's popular Chalk Talk with the Thunder coaching staff and players, hosted by Thunder radio play-by-play announcer Mike Benton is scheduled for a return to FanFest, where fans get their questions answered by members of the Thunder.

The Thunder return to the ice for preseason play on Thursday, Oct. 8 against the Bakersfield Condors, starting at 7 p.m. at Stockton Arena. The 2009-10 season, the fifth-year anniversary for the team, launches on Friday, Oct. 16 at Qwest Arena against the Idaho Steelheads at 6:10 p.m. and the Thunder home opener is Friday, Oct. 23 against the Ontario Reign at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena.
