Wesley N. Day, 73, of Escalon died Tuesday, Jan. 27 at his residence.

A native of Quincy, he grew up in Grass Valley and lived in Escalon for 30 years. He was employed as a propane manager for 45 years for Pargas and Alson Camporas. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jimzy Day of Escalon; children, Larry Day of Grass Valley, Leslie Corbin of North Highland, Jimzy Johnson of Sacramento, John Day of Westfir, Oregon and Guy Day of Roseville; mother, Nellie Hancock of Grass Valley; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Day, one sister and one brother.

Private services and interment. There was no visitation.
