Waltraud 'Wally' Elfriede Blanco, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 1, 1924 in Weilburg, Germany. After marrying the love of her life, Angelo, Wally made the long voyage from Germany to Escalon in 1955, where she began her wonderful and memorable life on the Blanco Dairy Farm.

A year later she was blessed with her one and only daughter, Debi.

Mrs. Blanco worked as an inspector for the USDA for 30 years and retired to spend more time with her granddaughters. She enjoyed traveling to Germany to stay with her family, playing solitaire and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Angelo Blanco; daughter Debi and son-in-law Eric; granddaughter Leslie, husband Justin and great granddaughter Ava; granddaughter Casey, husband Ryan and great grandchildren Tatem and Ryder; and several nieces and nephews.

Wally will be missed by all that have been blessed to have known her.

Funeral Service was Monday, April 9 at St. Patrick's Church, Highway 120, Escalon. Arrangements through Deegan's Funeral Chapel, Escalon.
